Recruiting students for part-time and casual work

Around 45% percent of our students work part-time during their studies – and not just bar work! They can undertake a variety of jobs including clerical work, retail and promotional opportunities plus marketing and surveys through to translation and catering work. Please note that:

  • Students are available to work up to 15 hours a week around their lecture times and can undertake evening and weekend work too. They may also be available to take on additional hours during their vacation periods
  • All positions advertised must meet National Minimum Wage.
  • The team can provide advice and guidance for any business new to recruiting students or graduates.

Types of work

There are a variety of jobs students can take on from:

  • Secretarial/ clerical work, data inputting
  • Shop work, bar work or promotional activities
  • IT training, support, programming and web development
  • Telesales, marketing or surveys
  • Translation
  • Manual work
  • Hotel and catering work
