Asia Careers Insight Series

We are gathering expressions of interest from organisations, recruiters and employers to join our Asia Careers Insight Series, taking place during March 2021 in the form of virtual workshops, recruitment presentations, Q&A sessions and panel discussions.

Organised by the Universities of Manchester and Warwick, the Asia Careers Insight Series gives you access to over 10,000 students and graduates from Warwick and Manchester plus our Partner Universities of Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Cardiff, Birmingham, Oxford, Nottingham, Manchester Metropolitan University, Lancaster, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Aston and York.

It is free of charge for your organisation to deliver a webinar/digital event and we welcome all organisation who are offering career opportunities in Asia or are looking to hire international students in the UK to participate.

We can provide the webinar platform and will manage all student promotion and sign up for your webinar.

If you are interested in participating, please contact Kyriaki Protopapa, Employability Executive International.

Background information

Due to the current travel restrictions, the Asia Careers Insight Series is replacing our annual China Fair, which took place on campus over the last 7 years. The Manchester and Warwick UK China Fair, and subsequent digital China Careers Insight Series which we trialled in 2020, has grown in popularity amongst both students and organisations. In 2020, we saw over 5,000 students from 14 top UK Institutions attend the virtual events delivered by over 30 organisations, hence, have made the decision to expand our remit to cover the whole of the Asia region.

We’ve had almost 30 global and local organisations confirming their place this year so far across a range of sectors and industries.

Our sessions tend to be very popular and you can expect 100+ students to attend your session.

Your event would be promoted to all our students and graduates from East, South East and South Asia including mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Japan and India.

We are opening our webinars to all students and recent graduates who may have an interest and want to get more familiar with your organisation, though the majority of the students attending would be either in their penultimate or final year of study and actively looking for opportunities.

If you are only interested in students from specific country/course then we would be happy to promote your session specifically to those students.

There is a number of ways to engage our students including

  • Offering a recruitment talk about any roles you are currently offering
  • Hosting a presentation on how students can build key skills
  • Joining a panel discussion to share your sector/labour market insights

We welcome you to join in any way that would be most beneficial to you.

Session slots will be confirmed on a first come – first served basis, therefore, we encourage you to contact us early to secure your place.
